About Me

Hi! My name is Gladys and I want to explore the world.

Before my realisation, I stayed in my comfort zone and doing what everyone expects me to do. Deep down, I’ve always liked adventures but I never took chances.

In late 2017, I got into an accident. My right knee was dislocated, with two-part fractures and multi-ligament tears to my knee. It was the period of time where I felt so lost and always thinking to myself the things I could have done but I never did. I didn’t want to dwell in self-pity, neither did I want anyone to feel sad for me. I decided to take a step forward and seized the opportunity to start living my life differently.

I took the chance to study aboard in South Korea for an exchange programme. I just wanted to get away from home, away from the unhappiness that I felt after the accident.

During my time there, I appreciated every single moment. I was fascinated with the culture and the beautiful scenics the country has to offer. Every day was a new adventure to me and I couldn’t be more happy to be there to explore different place and cities, trying out new things and testing my limits.

I became more open to such opportunities and I was also given the chance to do my internship in China, can’t say no to that either. I spent 3 months in Suzhou, China and me being adventurous, I tried to explore every bit of the city and also out of it. My interest for traveling and visiting new places start to grow.

That’s why I created this blog to keep logs of my travels and I hope to inspire you to get out and live your life.
